Would it be possible to adjust planned level by using a slider as is done with planned fuel, or failing that using up and down arrows as is done with setting Take Off Time?

Does anyone fly quadrantals these days VFR? If so, having set a planned level how about an option to calculate the correct quadrantal level for each leg of a route?

Cheers

What would be the upper limit of the slider?

You can also adjust planned level by dragging the magenta course line in the "Enroute Features" window up or down for each leg.

How about the aircraft service ceiling which could be set automatically by the entry in the aircraft details. Just to complicate mattersHehe could the increment step be set at 100ft at lower levels and at 500 or 1000 at higher levels?

I'd also fancy this.

OK if you guys want it. But not as a DEFAULT pl for all this level stuff. Still like the simplicity of SD and do not want it over-burdened.

So need to be able to toggle such a function.

Well, maybe an alert that a leg is not at the correct level. Such alert could be enabled/disabled.

I agree, there are likely to be occasions when it would not be useful at all, so perhaps the default should be as it is now but with the option to set quadrantals when needed.

Bare in mind that quadrantal and semi-circular rules vary from FIR to FIR and between airspace classes.

Such a system would have to know the TL/TA in each class of airspace (which means knowing the QNH), whether you would be IFR or VFR, and what the local semi/quadrantal rule is.
